If God has promised something in His Word and you have asked for it, why wouldn’t He fulfill it?
Why doubt, even if you don’t see the answer right away? Did He not hear you when you prayed? Has He changed His mind about meeting your needs? Is He not able to fulfill what He promised?
Numbers 23:19 gives us tremendous insight when it says, “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”
1 Peter 3:12 says, “For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers.” We also can see His faithfulness in Psalm 139:4: “For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, O LORD, You know it altogether.”
God is faithful in fulfilling His promises. He doesn’t need to be encouraged or supervised; He will do what He said He would do!
We should be fully confident that God has heard us and that we have received the answer when we pray. Some people pray longer and louder prayers not because of faith, but because of unbelief. Our prayers are heard because God is faithful and we pray His Word in faith, not because our prayers are lengthy or loud.
He always hears you when you pray in accordance with His will.
Further, we must believe that He will do what He said! 1 John 5:14-15 says, “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”
A few years ago, I bought a truck from a local dealership. After signing the paperwork and writing a check, the salesman congratulated me and handed me the keys, but the truck was taken away for “preparation.” I called my wife to share the news, and even though I didn’t have the truck in my possession, I trusted the salesman’s word. As I studied the subject of faith, I recalled this instance and all the times I had trusted a banker, realtor, and car salesman. And God asked, “Are you going to have more faith in a car salesman, a banker, or a realtor than you have in Me?”
We should believe we have received when we pray because God always fulfills His promises. Trusting Him is more natural than trusting any person. Romans 3:4 says, “Let God be true but every man a liar.”
Believing you receive when you pray is natural for a believer!
Another powerful step of faith is thanking God before you experience the answer—praising Him during this time is one-hundred percent faith! We are to follow the example of Abraham, who gave glory to God, “being fully persuaded that what He had promised He was able also to perform” (Romans 4:21). And we are to follow God our Father, “who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did” (Romans 4:17).
Thanking and praising God without doubting, and confessing what God’s Word says about the situation, is the only way to bridge the gap between the “Amen” and the manifestation.
